Fit For Life Physical Therapy is a breath of fresh air!  I finally found Joe Simko at the Lane Avenue location and he has been my physical therapy partner ever since!  Any time I have muscle pain that lasts more than a few weeks I give Caroline at the Lane Avenue location a call and she quickly finds me an appointment.  The absolute best part of working with Joe is that he never tells me that I must stop doing the activities I love to do.  He recommends ways I can modify my activity as needed and gives me a manageable list of exercises that work with my daily schedule.  Lastly, Caroline, Joe, and Megan make it fun to be around FFL! Thank you!

“I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at 70 years old and was on a cane at that time.  My daughter, Shara, found a good doctor and got me off the couch, then I did my first race through Black Girls Run.  I started and I finished it!  When I started having knee, lower back, and shoulder blade problems several months ago, I made an appointment at Fit For Life Physical Therapy, where my daughter was already a patient.  It was the smartest thing I ever did.  My physical therapist, Chris, took a full bio of where my problems were, and I have experienced a definite improvement since starting my FFL sessions.  Get you doctors okay, then get the proper shoes at Fleet Feet, and, if you have any problems from walking or running, please try Fit For Life.”

Thank you. You guys were a big part of getting me to the start AND finish line of the Boston Marathon!

“Chris Lawson has been an amazing partner throughout the process of recovering from a calf injury.  He has been great at explaining the injury and treatment and I am on the path to running again! I just wanted to extend my gratitude for the Fit For Life Physical Therapy team. I truly appreciate their efforts in my recovery.  Thank you FFL, I love your New Albany Hamilton Quarter location.”

“I started running in 2009.  I have done several half and full marathons.  When I was training for The Capital City Half Marathon in 2016 and was injured, I went to Fit For Life and they got me to the finish.  I then trained for The 2016 Columbus Marathon, and again Fit For Life was there.  After getting into trail running, I decided to try a big race.  Once again, with the great staff and professional care at Fit For Life, I was able to accomplish a feat I didn't think possible:  I finished an ultramarathon, The Mohican 50 Mile Race.  Will I go farther?  Only time will tell.  But I do know that Fit For Life will always help me get to the finish line and beyond!  Thanks Fit For Life!!!"

“Thank you for the outstanding service and great care. Your model of PT mixed with outfitting should be the standard. It makes so much sense.”

“I would like to thank Sean and the entire Fit For Life Physical Therapy team for all their support.  They have been there for my recovery from knee surgery, as well as support working with me after developing some post-operative blood clots.  I appreciated each session with the team planning and altering my therapy based on my condition.  Plus, they have stressed patience in my recovery, which was not always easy.  FFL has a great atmosphere for therapy because the team makes you feel important as they work with you on your way to recovery so you can return to the activities you enjoy most.  I would highly recommend Fit For Life Physical Therapy.”

In 2017 I was able to walk or run 1,625 miles for the year and I owe this totally to the physical therapy I received at Fit For Life.

“Simply put, the best medical care I have ever experienced. I felt as I was visiting a friend more than being a client.”

“[You taught me] that patience, experience, and encouragement help you rise to the challenge.”

Every runner knows that aches and pains are inevitable.  But runners are notoriously bad at recognizing the difference between a minor ache and an injury.  And we are even worse at taking care of the aches before they turn into injuries.  Unfortunately, I have learned my lessons the hard way!  Laura and the FFL team have always been there with advice and treatment to help me recover from tight muscles, Achilles tendinosis, and my bout with the dreaded “dead-butt” syndrome.  Listen to your body and do not be afraid to reach out to the team at Fit For Life.

“You have a great crew of caring professional people there, including yourself, that you should be really proud of. You are helping people reach their goals!”

“With the help of Fit For Life Physical Therapy, I was able to successfully train and complete my goal half marathon at the end of September.”

“You are a skilled team and without you I would have never overcome my piriformis injury.”

“I had a great experience with Laura and the team.”

You get it. You are runners and active athletes that understand what it is to be active and need to get back to it.

“Everyone at FFL including Caroline at the desk, Joe, Dana and the owner, treated me in a friendly, professional manner. The atmosphere was relaxed, yet focused, and the area was always clean.”

“Fit For Life Physical Therapy did not just make me Fit For Life, they got me moving when I thought I would never run again.  Laura and Amy would not let me give up when I thought my surgery did not work and Joe made me strong again.  Who would not want FFL as part of their team?”

“After physical therapy with Joe Simko at Fit For Life, I was able to continue training for last year’s Boston Marathon. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. When I started it was painful to run and I did not think I would even make it to the starting line.”

I am just exhilarated, ecstatic, or any excessive term one can think of about the rehabilitative care I received from your team.

“I felt the purpose of the business was not only to get patients moving again, but to help them regain the joy of movement that had been a part of their lives before injury.”

“I first heard of Fit For Life Physical Therapy at the Powell Location from some fellow runners who had been helped with injuries.  In January of 2021 I had a really bad fall while running which resulted in a massive rotator cuff tear along with a tear of my biceps tendon.  When I needed PT, I immediately went into FFL and the team with Chelsea & Laura has been doing a great job of guiding the rehabilitation of my shoulder through the long process of healing after surgery and now the stretching and strengthening to get me back to pre-fall form and strength.  I am currently 62 years old and hope to be running for many more years.  I am confident that any setbacks I experience can be overcome with the help of the fine group at Fit For Life Physical Therapy.”

“Joe explained the proper procedure for each exercise and the purpose. He was encouraging and knowledgeable. He was aware of my goals and helped me reach them.”

I’m fitter and faster than ever.

“My specific compliments would include helpful scheduling, assistance with insurance billing, excellent treatment of ultrasound, massage, exercises, and AlterG to slowly get me back to running.”
